Fire Lay 101
#1
Information
Cody Lundin said one time, "fire is an art." I've found this to be exceptionally true. Fire is not a guarantee! Even with a lighter in the best of conditions. I started reading about fire lays in Dave Canterburys Bushcraft 101. From there, I started understanding that fire is a system. It has a protocol for optimal success. We've discussed fire tenders such as DIY Mini Inferno and different variations. To accompany these threads and ideas, I'll post these fire lay methods.

Simple example and 1 a bit more detailed.

In many cases, in particular wet conditions, I've found that it's better to put the tinder on the kindling. Just make sure to have a lot of tinder.
