9mm Target Ammo for 15 cents per round
#61
Just as an fyi, Rush Creek has 115gr Re-man 9mm target ammo for $160/1000. Shipping is $30 to GA so it ends up being $190/1000.

It is decent target ammo and shoot good groups with few fliers. I have not had any problems but I have only shot it at my BIL's and he shoots it quite a bit.

I had to file a dispute because they haven't yet refunded my money.

It was touch and go there for a while!
Another thing is that they sent 124g instead of the 115g I ordered. No biggie.
Just a quick look through the rounds turned up a few that were tarnished. Might make for a good lot for practice drills.

Certainly good for drill, although not much good for anything else. These had hard primers that would fire after second trigger pull. They might work well in my sub2k but not fun to shoot in my Glock. Not too bad in my C100 since it has DA trigger as well.

If they required a second try to fire in your Glock that is not an indication of a hard primer. The Glock striker fire method will punch a dent in small rifle primer firing it with a properly working Glock. The small pistol primer is the same size but is a softer metal for the primer housing. If you look at a small pistol primer that is fired by a Glock you will see an imprint of a rectangle with a more pronounced bar shaped dent inside the rectangle. For a small rifle primer all that can be seen is the bar shaped dent. For a primer that was not fully seated a small dent or no dent will be visible after the first attempt.

What is happening with the ammo that is taking a second strike in your Glock is that the primer is not fully seated into the primer pocket. The first strike will seat the primer and the second will set it off.  Bad ammo, use with caution and only for the range.

Thanks for the head's up. My plan is to throw in a few random rounds while loading mags for drill. Certainly have no plans to run an event with them.
