Typhus in Los Angeles
Found a couple of cases in downtown Los Angeles yesterday.

Serves as a reminder of how much we rely upon Public Health and vector control districts.

It important to have a number of containers of bug repellent/bug spray on hand as well as bug hoods and possibly mosquito netting.

I chose to have 4 electric powered bug zapper stationary machines at home.  They end up loaded with insect carcasses and are cleaned out weekly.

We have quite number of mosquito breeding grounds in my area. When shtf and the vector controls are not in place, it is going to be miserable and dangerous.
Our area is dealing with West Nile.

We have several bottles/cans of sprayers. Plus we have a couple of large bottles of permethrin to treat our clothes, tents, and bags.
