Peanut lighter test thread
#1
Star
I've done various testings on peanut lighters in the past.  I've gotten 6+ months of use from some of them and I'm confident they could have gone longer.  Starting a new test thread on the one I just received.  This is one that is shaped like a bullet.  I like this design because the top unscrews to allow access to the flint wheel and wick while the bottom also unscrews to allow you to fill it with fuel.  The other type has a canister that pulls out for filling but I've noticed that after a while the top of the canister comes apart at the seams.

So I received, filled and did the initial lighting on July 25th.

Second lighting on August 1st.

I'll continue every so often to see how long the fuel lasts.  Hopefully the O-rings that came with it are fine but if not I have a plethora of extras to swap out.  Hoping to get multiple months of use before having to refill.

Test light - 76 days. That's just over 3 1/2 months on the original refill. And still going. I'd call that a very successful test and counting.

Test light - 82 days. Flame looked low so I decided to refill. That's a pretty decent run time of almost three months on this lighter. Very satisfied with it.
