Social unrest or worse?

Two lines of thought.
1. During the last administration, the Senate did not confirm a supreme court nominee. The proposed justice never got an up or down vote. He would have received the confirmation. Payback was only fair. So the Democrats paid back.
It doesn't matter which the guy did anything wrong or not. It doesn't matter that any statute of limitation ran decades ago. It doesn't matter that the complaining witness would never obtain a criminal conviction or a civil judgment.
All appointments to the bench are political. Always have been.
You should consider that Senator Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the Committee did her own investigation and withheld the complaint so as to gum up the works. She most certainly had her staff do their own investigation before revealing that she had a complaint. Such is probably why she was careful to announce that she was not vouchsafing the complaint which she hid.

2. Hillary Clinton worked long and hard to get the nomination. She raised money and corralled the super delegates before she even announced her candidacy. Winning relies upon keeping the base and reaching out to the undecideds in the middle.

Despite her own philosophical leanings, Hillary attempted to paint herself as a moderate. She practiced traditional identity politics to keep her base -blacks, hispanics, socialists, women. Bernie was the fly in the ointment. He had a program.

Hillary's base had to be energized to get out and vote. Hence, the negative campaigning without an articulated program.

You will notice that Hillary never verbally attacked the radicals in the Democratic Party - the Antifac people, the Metoo! people, the BLM people. She couldn't if she wanted activists to ring doorbells and work telephone banks for free.

Obama did fund raising, but not for Hillary and not for the DNC. He fund raised for his own groups up through the election. He did not campaign for her.

Hillary sold her donor list for millions to the DNC after the election although previous candidates had donated their lists. Her candidate became no. one in the DNC and Bernie's candidate no. two. The fighting continues.

Be prepared for increased harassment/assaults on conservative politicians and celebrities from here on out. The left will never rest until they take Trump down.

I hope this motivates conservatives to get to the voting poles this November.

Guys, we talk a lot about preps and defense and things of that nature.  It's fun, it's productive and it's something we all probably hope we never really have to use to a serious extent.  I think after next month though we're going to have our preps put to the test.  I think things are going to take a dramatic turn as things start happening.  Along with Kavanaugh's confirmation, I feel the Republicans are going to retain both the House and the Senate PLUS I think indictments are going to start happening.  This means the left is going to go more insane than they have been.  I think there will be a period of ugly before normal operations are restored.  Unfortunately, it's necessary to preserve our Republic.

We'll see what happens in a month.

Not gonna be any social unrest resulting in need for Preps.

by January 31st - there will not be any social upheaval requiring the use of your preps....I'd try the north Korea bet again, but I doubt I'll get any takers on that.

Preserving our republic has been the excuse for extensive violations of our freedom over the years. Don't be fooled by it. If someone does not choose to be in the republic, let them go. If you have to force them to stay...they aren't really part of it except by your use of force anyway.

I think if the Democrats don't get the election results they want, they will become as disruptive as possible.

I agree with letting them go, but the issue is they won't leave.

Loud, annoying, and even "disruptive" like a kid in class talking all the time. Maybe even a little acting out by 20 paid actors...
