Multi-caliber capability
After getting a Glock G31 Gen4 in 357 Sig I have to say out of all the handgun calibers I've owned in my lifetime the 357 Sig is one of THE best I've ever had. It is on par with my ol' standard 357 Mag revolver loads that I carried back in the day with more rounds and less recoil to boot. I absolutely love this round. I may or may not get a 40 S&W barrel for my G31 but I for dang sure will carry it as it's original 357 Sig configuration. This cartridge give me a great deal of confidence in it's ability to stop a fight asap and it's easy to shoot and accurate to boot.
Yeah - 4/1 with a .22 conversion for the Glock.

I have a G23 that stays 9mm for just that reason. IF I need/want .40 I can work with it. But I go deep on 9mm.

For prepping - it's about both depth and breadth. Go deep, then a little wider. Then deeper, and a little wider.

For me - 12g, 9mm, and 7.62x39 are my go-tos. But I can deal with .22, .223/5.56, .38, .357, .40, .45, 30-06 as well.
