On the another forum there is a debate going on about QuickClot and it causing burns so I thought I would share the info here,

Prior to 2012, yes QuickClot could cause severe burns. In 2012 they switched from Zeolite to Kaolin. The Kaolin does not produce any heat, so the burn issue has gone away. If you have old QuickClot, you will want to consider replacing it with the new version (post 2012).
Thanks for the info. I have some in my med kit that is at least 10 years old. I probably need to go through the kit anyway to check for other things that are out of date or have gone bad.
