Gone solar!
#1
Posted this a few weeks ago, except...fail.

Anyway, there was a Groupon for one of these things [shown below].  It charged up, charged my phone from ~10% to 90% or so in 2.5 hours (I guess), and seems to be still working after being rained on.  Charged in the sun for a while.  Didn't seem to get a full charge, but again, did I mention it got rained on?

I now have three phone charge options!  Thin & small, think & chunky, and solar!

I have a black one like that on my EDC bag. I bought my wife one, but after three months her charger quit working. Mine is still going strong.

Link to what I bought. One works great, the other not so much.

It was a Groupon.

Like $12 after all said and done. Too cheap not to try it out.

My latest addition. Haven't had a chance to try it out. Mostly all good reviews.

John, I think you're going to like it quite a bit.  I have the 14W Anker and it works fantastic.  Charges phones and batteries up quicker than I thought it would and is light and folds up pretty thin and compact.  I think it's a great addition to prep gear!

This link is to a newer 15W but it's similar to what I got a couple of years ago.  I think I spent around $30 give or take?
