Survival and Emergency Preparedness

Used the grill last night. Out in shorts and t-shirt, grilling pork steaks. Not normal weather for the first day of February.

We can make up our mind here. One day in the 50s the next back below freezing.

How quickly the weather changes. It was below freezing on Monday and we got right at 0.2 inches of ice. Made travel a real pain.

Today, we are in dense fog and looking at a high of 50. Looking at the extended forecast, they are predicting close to 60 for us in upcoming days.

Our box of food arrived. Haven't sampled any yet, but for the price it will make a nice addition to our food supplies.

We are having a little ice storm today. Supposed to end up with between a 0.1-0.3 inches of ice. Everything all covered right now. Roads are miserable. We shut down the various job sites.

Tomorrow it is supposed to be much nicer.

We warmed up to 28 yesterday. Got another cold front moving in on Friday. Then sounds like we will warm back up next week, but be right around that freezing mark which could lead to ice. I don't mine the warmer temps, I don't mind the snow, I can tolerate the colder temps, but I don't like ice.

Wife can retire in 2028, she will have the age. She already has the years of service. Dad is 77. Doing better post cancer treatment and pacemaker install. He is starting to get back to more of a normal life. Hoping this summer that he is able to get back out to the farm and start helping a little. Y...

Looks like those electrical cars are having issues in the cold.

We got a light dusting of snow last night. Supposed to warm up into the 20s Wednesday and Thursday, but then drop back down again.

-5 this morning on the way to work. Cold weather with us for about a week according to the weather guessers. Looks like those down south are even getting a taste of winter.
