What makes you smile?
What makes you smile? For most of us shooting is an inherently enjoyable sport and hobby. Whether it is plinking, hunting, or competition the bottom line is that we do it because we like it. So, of all the firearms you own or have owned (I ask that we keep it to these parameters—shooting someone els...

Re: Guns-n-ammo buying craze
As staff was helping him I went to my range bag and pulled out my maglula. Huge +1 for the Maglula! A P365 mag can be very hard to load, particularly when new. The Maglula makes it easy-peasy. Yes, the Maglula makes a profound difference. I have come to the conclusion that I need a second one. One ...

Re: Guns-n-ammo buying craze
I went to the range today to sight in a couple of scopes. There was a couple that entered just ahead of me and they were looking for a handgun to purchase. This range doesn't really keep selling stock. They have rentals and will order for you or handle a transfer. This couple stated that they have b...

Re: Night vision: Binocular or monocular?
It is something that I will have to save for. Spending more time outside at night will also make me want to get another telescope. And it just goes on and on and on...

Re: Night vision: Binocular or monocular?
When I started this thread I thought that I would be purchasing a night vision optic within a couple of months. Well, life intervenes and other unexpected expenses popped up. So, no purchase right now. That does not mean I haven't continued to look. It does mean that it is forcing more time on me to...

Re: Newest gun or latest upgrade
Ok. The Sig arrived yesterday and I was able to pick it up today. The FFL I used has the only local indoor range around here. He only charged $5 for handling the paperwork. So, I bought 50 rounds of ammo, a couple of targets, and range time-- and it was still less than every other FFL would have cha...
Re: Capacity
Magazine capacity is what drove my purchase of a P365. (Which I picked up today, and shot, and am happy with.) The more I considered things I could not justify me getting a G43. All other things considered and equal but if one has more bullets, more bullets wins.

Re: Newest gun or latest upgrade
Besides picking up my new/old Timberwolf 357 slide action rifle from a buddy, I also got a 44 mag barrel for my H&R single shot. I already have two 44 mag rifles, one Marlin lever action and a Ruger semi but I couldn't pass up adding to the collection of barrels I have for my H&R particular...
