We have done one trip with the family, it was actually a lunch. We went to the farm walked out to the back pasture (about 30 minute walk) and had lunch. We used just the equipment in our backs and we had brought some Mountain House meals with us. We got water from the creek, used the portable stove, and actually had enjoyable little lunch.

We need to do a full scale overnight test, but the wife would never agree to that (I understand why because her RA makes it hard to sleep on the ground), but she is interested in doing a day hike, just got to find time to do one.
Last weekend my son, his friend and I took a trip to Ft. Lauderdale for Supercon (which was a lot of fun actually).  Of course I took my Maxy Lunada EDC sling back and it came in handy from the perspective of phone charging cables which I always keep in there.  Also found I needed to replace my power pack with another one so that was a plus finding that out.
Bought a new power pack from Walmart yesterday for $10.  Capacity is 4000 mAh and it has a digital readout for % which is nice.  Also bought a new 6ft lighting cable so I'll be testing both out to see how it charges my phone.  If I googled correctly, my Iphone 6 has a battery capacity of just over 1800 mAh so in theory I should be able to charge that phone twice with a little extra.

We'll see...
