Sounds like you've found something you like and are comfortable with Frank.  I know I'd feel comfortable carrying my Sig P250 .45acp.

IIRC, that's what Bob has and carries when we're out on the SEP gatherings.  Bob seems to really like that gun quite a bit.  Maybe he'll chime in and tell me if I'm right.

I've found the XD45 much easier and softer shooting than any of my 1911s and I'm a big 1911 fan. Not to mention the XD45 holds 13.  If I had to go to war, hands down choice would be the XD45, Glock or S&W 45 striker fired over a 1911.  

I've had mine a long time and it's now time for an upgrade.  Just bought a threaded barrel for my XD45 in anticipation of getting a can.  Also wanted a bit longer barrel. Fiber optic sights are next on the list.
